The work being performed in the research project entitled "Desarrollo de un sistema de preservación normotérmica con capacidad de monitorización metabólica no invasiva (PRENOMON)" (RTC-2016-5108-1) from the call "Retos-Colaboración del Programa Estatal de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación Orientada a los Retos de la Sociedad, en el marco del Plan Estatal de Investigación Científica y Técnica y de Innovación 2013-2016" funded by the "Secretaría de Estado de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación del Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad" and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) has been featured in an article published in consalud.es.

This four-year project aims to develop an organ preservation device for transplantation capable of maintaining the organ under physiological conditions during the preservation period. The new system will help the clinicians in the implantation decision process, will improve the use of sub-optimal organs in transplantation and will enhance the quality and functionality of the preserved organs.
